This workshop will offer guidance for academics and researchers interested in applying for translational funding schemes for projects enabling early stage commercialisation of your research.

Innovate UK Business Growth team will provide their advice on completing applications for life sciences translational research schemes. Innovate UK Business Growth is the new name for Innovate UK EDGE.

The session will cover the following: what makes a good application, building a stronger commercial proposal, do’s and don’t’s of completing applications, tips and best practice.

Session outline/ plan

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Better understand what a good application for life sciences translational research schemes looks like
  • Be offered advice on grant writing, particularly applications for translational / early stage research commercialisation funding schemes
